“How long will a roof replacement take?” is a common question from our customers.
The simple answer is that it depends on the size of the roof , the materials being use, how well the weather is cooperating and a few other factors.
Once an estimate is accepted and a roof replacement project is scheduled, there could be some time before the work is started. The start date will be outlined verbally and in writing on your contract. Most jobs will begin within a few weeks of the estimate being signed based on how many other projects are ahead of yours.
From there, most jobs are completed within a few days once started. A smaller, flat roof can be done quicker than a large square footage roof with steep and/or many roof lines. The type of work being done will impact the time — are repairs being made underneath the roof or is it a simple reroof?
Shingles will take less time to install than a metal roof. Inspection time and weather will also impact the time. During the rainy season here in Tampa Bay and across Central Florida, roofing jobs can be pushed back as afternoon thunderstorms limit working hours.
Most roofs however are completed in 2-3 days. For a more precise understanding, please feel free to speak with one of our roofing supervisors at 813-659-5779 or fill out the contact form on the right hand side of the page.
